Dr. Hans-Otto Schneider
H.-O. Schneider, born in Usingen in the Taunus region, has been a research assistant on the »European Religious Peace Digital« project since January 2023. Prior to this, he had been a research assistant since 2007 on the project »Controversia et Confessio. Source Edition on Confessional Formation and Confessionalisation 1548–1580« at the Academy of Sciences and Literature in Mainz, in association with Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and the Leibniz Institute for European History in Mainz. Main research interests: the Reformation and confessionalisation, religion and culture in the Goethe era, the Vormärz period, (Hessian) catechism history, hymnology, ecclesiastical art.
